CUCUMBER-BUTTERMILK MOCKTAIL:
My mother in law generally prepares this drink and its very refreshing during these hot summers. just the mention of the word butermilk or cucumber is so refreshing and soothing. With soaring temperatures in Bangalore, drinks like this are a real delight and can be made and stored in the fridge. I’ve added pudina or mint to it to give that extra twist to the taste. So go on and beat the Heat!!!
You’ll need:
Buttermilk: 1 cup (chaas)
cucumber: grated: 1/2 cup
Ginger: 2-3 slivers
Mint leaves: 2-3 nos.
salt: to taste ( you could also try black salt/kala namak)
Jeera powder: a pinch
Corriander powder: a pinch
Green chilly: 0.5 or half (optional, if you need to make it spicy but I haven’t added)
Procedure:
In a Blender, add all the above ingredients and blend to form a homogeneous drink. Refrigerate it and serve chilled.
Thanda..Thanda ..Cool..Cool..
This drink also finds its place in Madhuri’s Event: Serve Me Some Juices, Shakes and Smoothies of cookcurrynook.
